Terms of Use

Last updated: August 27, 2026

Agreement to terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Pip, a parent planning app for date polls, sign-up lists, and RSVPs. By creating an account, using the site, or sharing an event link, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pip.

About the service

Pip lets you create event pages ("Pips"), run date polls, collect RSVPs and sign-ups, and share one link with guests. Guests can respond without an account. Creating and sharing Pips is free.

Some features are part of a paid plan called Pip Plus, such as calendar conflict flagging and automated reminders. Paid features are labeled in the app, and pricing is shown before you subscribe.

Pip Plus and billing

Pip Plus is a recurring subscription billed through our payment processor, Stripe, at the price and interval shown at checkout. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account page; your Plus features stay active through the end of the period you already paid for. Except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable.

We may occasionally grant a complimentary Plus account. Complimentary access has no billing attached, is not a purchase, and can be changed or ended at any time.

Email and notifications

Using Pip means we send email needed to run your events, such as invitations, date-lock announcements, response alerts, and reminders. Marketing and product emails are opt-in and you can unsubscribe at any time. Pip does not send text messages, so if you need guests to get a text, share the update yourself.

Connected calendars

If you connect a calendar feed, Pip reads it to flag dates that clash with your existing events. Conflict flags are a convenience, not a guarantee — feeds can be out of date, incomplete, or unavailable. Always confirm your own availability before locking a date.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at Info@yaypip.com.

User content

You keep ownership of the content you create, such as event titles, descriptions, and lists. By posting it on Pip, you give us the limited right to host, display, and share it as needed to operate the service.

You are responsible for what you share. Do not use Pip to post illegal, harmful, harassing, discriminatory, spam, or infringing content. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Use Pip for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law.
  • Attempt to access another user's account without permission.
  • Interfere with the security or performance of the site.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data without our written consent.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

Intellectual property

The Pip name, mascot, logos, design, and software are owned by Pip and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our brand or code without our permission.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we need to protect the service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use Pip ends, and we may delete your data.

Disclaimers

Pip is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You use Pip at your own risk.

We are not responsible for the behavior of guests or other users, the accuracy of responses, or whether an event actually happens. Organizers are responsible for their own events and communications.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pip and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you did not pay us.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Pip will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here and update the effective date. Continuing to use Pip after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
